The IJsselmeer is with 1,137 km2 the largest inland sea in the Netherlands. The Zuiderzee Museum in the city of Enkhuizen just north of Amsterdam examines the history and present the future of this region. “Water” is one of its main themes.
In 2014 and 2015 the museum has been extended. A part of this expansion is a boardwalk that offers visitors the opportunity to experience the movement and flow of water up close. 15 m3 FSC-certified wood Bilinga were used in this project.
