The “De Villa” consists of 16 apartments for teenagers with mental disabilities and common areas for the facility’s daycare offer. With it’s park-like garden and many activity rooms De Villa provides a secure and comfortable atmosphere for the residents as well as daycare visitors.
The timber facade and verandas are made from Guariuba hardwood, which ensures a warm and homey feeling.
In 2013 the project won the Apeldoorn Architecture Prize, among other things due to “the refined use of materials”.
