After being partially destroyed by a storm in 2013 the Eastern pier at Lemvig Harbour in the Northern part of Denmark had to be rebuilt in 2015. The new pier is 60 meters longer than the old one and therefore has enough space for additional 50 boats.
The species Basralocus was used for the main supporting structure, and chosen due to its tolerance towards sea-water. FSC-certified Azobe was also used for this project.
