In 2010 the old harbour in Aarhus started the transformation process from being an old and abandoned industrial area into becoming an attractive new area of the city.. The crown jewel of this development is the iconic building “The Iceberg”.
It’s hard not to notice this award-winning apartment building due to its striking design. The building has been designed to maximize the oceanview from each of the apartments, so that each occupant can enjoy the location to it’s fullest from their personal balcony.
The wooden Guariuba floor of each balcony lends a softness to the design, which is otherwise dominated by large white surfaces. Guariuba is also used for the fences that shelter the building while making The Iceberg stand out even more.
